Wines of the South
Wines of the South is an annual regional wine competition designed to promote and celebrate the great tastes of Southern vintages. Wineries in fourteen southern states are invited to submit wines for the competition. In addition, all wines will be featured at the Tennessee Food and Wine Festival.

2011 marks the 10th year for the Wines of the South competition. Last year over 420 entries from 14 states were judge by 25 distinguished judges in a blind flighted tasting. Wines of the South Medals are recognized by consumers throughout the southern United States.
This year, long time competition chairman Dr. Bill Morris retired from the University and Dr. Carol Costello, Professor in Retail, Hospitality and Tourism Management became the new competition chair. Dr. Morris is still highly involved in the recruitment of judges and organization.
